Dylan Moran @ State Theatre, Sydney (Mon 2 Apr 2007)

Funny funny man.  We’re big Black Books fans, so when we heard Dylan Moran was touring, we snapped up tickets as quick as we could.  We got pretty good seats too.

It was pretty funny for us, as one of the things he focussed on was how Sydney people are so caught up with status.  We’d only been living in Sydney a short time and had noticed this phenomenon (not with everyone obviously).  One of the best lines of the night was him saying that Sydney people would sell their children for property on the North Shore.  We thought it was funny, but the bulk of the audience didn’t.

A stupidly funny show, and our first of many at the State Theatre in Sydney, which is a beautiful room.
